Psytrance producer here:
Use sytrus for the bassline and Maximus for it's processing. That gives you that chemical sound.
Otherwise very nice track.
Sooo ready for some harsh criticism?
Well here is what I noted:1. Does not really fit the term Trance, it's rather industrial. Further, it misses a classic 4-to-the-floor kickdrum beat.
2. If it is supposed to be Psychedelic Trance, I have to dissapoint you in every way. This shit is dark and I like that aspect, but it is not psychedelic.
3. You should compress it a bit to gain more energy
4. It lacks a lot of low end. But more bass into it and cut your synths and sound effects at around 80 (+-20) hz.
Alrighty then
But I was going for industrial trance
Also I never heard about the kick drum thing but I wanted to go original, so basically I just repeated a bunch of times. I’m kinda like waterflame feelings about a track that just loops and loops, its a bad idea, not judging those songs but basically what I feel like if you read goa codex by waterflame disc you’ll know what I mean
Powerful and Psychedelic. Sounds like good psy from the 00er years. Euphoric Fullon feeling
Sounds a bit Overpowerd, maybe there is too much compression in there.
Also, for my taste it is too slow regarding that it is psytrance. A bpm between 135 and 150 would be better I guess. I like your synths though.
ty :D for being honest on this review, its true that 128 bpm may feel a bit slow for psytrance but when I made the track I wanted to make an house track, and since it was made for nguac, I kept it to gain some time. For the comp thing, look at my response under pawles22's comment. Ty for the response !
Dammn pretty nice. I like the oriental feel of the synths and the morning feel to it
Pretty good and trippy Hi-Tech. Only criticism from my side would be too much highs in the bass - the click is too strong here. Also, the kick could have more bass
Yeah I wasnt sure if that buzzy bass would be a good idea but I kept it anyway... Also thanks for the kick advice!
I think the synths are too loud while the bass is too silend and not powerful enough. Also, that sidechained noise is a little disturbing to be honest. I would use a kickdrum with more click (higher frequencies in the beginning - at the head - of the kick) to get a more chemical or plastic sound and modulate parameters like cutoff or pitch of your synths to give it a trippier feeling
Pretty nice. Nice Appegios in the second half and generally a very atmospheric feeling. However I have a few points i would like to critisize:
-Offbeat bass length: For a fuller and more driving sound I's recommend to make the offbeat bassline notes longer so that they are half a beat (1/8 note) long and not a quarter beat (1/16 note).
-Snare Volume: In my opinion, the snare/clap is a little bit too loud.
keep on doing psytrance though. Nice work
Thanks for the good criticism (。•̀ᴗ-)✧, I will take into account the points you pointed out for the next ( ╹▽╹ )
Powerful kick. The bass could have some more click in my opinion but I really like the offbeat sound. Did you design that yourself? If yes, please tell me how you did it. Same goes for the kick. I'm excited to hear the final result
